“Meet the Scientist Siri 1” Engages Students with Fascinating Insights into Chemistry
Johor Bahru, 27 May 2024 — The inaugural session of the “Meet the Scientist” series, organized by the Perbadanan Perpustakaan Awam Johor (PPAJ), took place at the Johor Public Library, Jalan Yahya Awal. The program featured Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Bakri Bakar from the Faculty of Science, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), as the guest expert.
In his session titled “Refleksi Kimi(Ra)Ya,” Dr. Bakri captivated students with his unique perspective on chemistry, sharing insights that bridged everyday experiences with scientific concepts. Through engaging explanations and thought-provoking reflections, he highlighted the relevance of chemistry in daily life, sparking an interest in the subject among young attendees.
This collaboration between UTM’s Faculty of Science and PPAJ is part of an ongoing effort to inspire students to explore STEM fields. By bringing scientific knowledge directly to the community, the program aims to nurture a new generation of curious and motivated learners who may one day become leaders in science and technology.
