Program “Meet the Scientist Siri 2” Inspires Students with the Wonders of Quantum Computing
Bandar Tenggara, 27 June 2024 — The “Meet the Scientist Series 2” program, organized in collaboration with the Perbadanan Perpustakaan Awam Johor (PPAJ), took place successfully at the Bandar Tenggara branch of Johor Public Library. The event was led by Dr. Yap Yung Szen, a quantum computing expert from the Faculty of Science at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).
Dr. Yap engaged local students with an enlightening session titled “Dunia Informasi Kuantum” (The World of Quantum Information), introducing them to the fascinating world of quantum science and its potential impact on the future of technology and computation. His presentation captivated young minds, sparking curiosity and wonder about the quantum realm and its practical applications.
This collaboration between UTM’s Faculty of Science and PPAJ aims to inspire students to pursue STEM fields, fostering a future generation of scientists and innovators. Through such initiatives, both institutions hope to cultivate a passion for science among students in Bandar Tenggara and beyond.
