“Meet the Scientist Siri 3” Shines a Light on the Wonders of the Universe
Kota Tinggi, 19 August 2024 — The third installment of the “Meet the Scientist” series, organized in partnership with the Perbadanan Perpustakaan Awam Johor (PPAJ), captivated attendees at the Bandar Penawar branch of Johor Public Library. The session featured Dr. Nor Ain Husein from the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).
In her talk titled “Cahaya: Teropong Alam Semesta” (Light: The Telescope of the Universe), Dr. Nor Ain shed light on the fascinating role of light in astronomy and how it helps us explore the mysteries of the cosmos. Her presentation provided a glimpse into the vast universe, explaining the science behind telescopes and the crucial role of light in observing celestial bodies.
This event aimed to ignite a passion for physics and astronomy among young students and the general public, encouraging curiosity about the universe. The collaboration between UTM’s Faculty of Science and PPAJ reflects a shared mission to foster a love for STEM fields, offering the community an opportunity to engage with cutting-edge scientific knowledge.
