Custodianship

We spend a considerable of our time in our indoor work environment. As such, the indoor environment affects the quality of work, learning outcomes and productivity.

Looking at how important the indoor environment is, FS management saw the need for clear objectives for strategic facility upkeep. With this aim, the FS custodial team was established.

FS custodial team is responsible for the facility upkeep – performing regular preventive maintenance and providing fast temporary repairs. The team will look to international operational guidelines as guidance for operational standards for educational facilities’ upkeep. And under an apprenticeship system, our custodians are trained to carry out simple carpentry and masonry repairs, basic electrical and plumbing work, and wall and floor refurbishing.
