Recycling @FS

Block C’s recycling store is located at C10-127. Please contact Puan Lijah Rosdi (lijah@utm.my) to drop off your recyclables.

Cluster T’s recycling store is located at T02 loading bay and is open all day. Please arrange your recyclable items neatly. For assistance, please contact Cik Zaleha Jaafar (zaleha@fbb.utm.my).

The Faculty of Science is committed to helping the University become a sustainable campus and be a responsible member of our local community. We are doing this by integrating recycling practices into our daily operations to promote diversion of wastes to landfills. At the same time, we are using profits from selling these recyclables for maintenance work around the faculty.

What can go to the Recycling@FS collection stores:

- Rigid plastics numbers 1, 2 and 5
- All cans
- All printer paper, newspaper, and books
- Flattened corrugated/cardboard boxes
* All plastics and cans need to be cleaned/rinsed-dried and NOT contain food.

What cannot go to the Recycling@FS collection stores:

- Anything other than the above
- Polystyrene boxes, soft plastics, food wrappers
- Shiny printer paper packaging
- Drinks paper cups
- Shredded papers
* More diverse recyclable items such as e-waste, glass, fabrics etc. will be collected from time to time.

The recycling collection stores are available for staff and students to drop off their recyclable items.
