About Kelestarian@FS
From a modest beginning as the School of Science in 1972 at Jalan Semarak Kuala Lumpur, the Faculty of Science relocated to its current Skudai Campus location in 1988. The faculty now encompasses six buildings in the central cluster (C17 – C22) and two buildings in the new cluster (T02 and T05) covering an approximately 30,000 sqm area. With over 250 staff and 2000 students, it is a community of its own.
Use a classroom or a lab. Turn on a light, the air conditioner or flush a toilet. Every day, staff and students benefit from the University’s dedication to deliver a fulfilling learning and working experience. It is a huge task and every bit of help counts.
The faculty, through its Jawatankuasa Kelestarian, is supporting the University’s effort for a sustainable campus in its academic, management and administration, research, network and outreach to the community. Beginning from 2022, the faculty is introducing a step-by-step improvement by integrating sustainable practices in its operation, focusing on three SDGs – SDG1, SDG2, and SDG3
