About ISMI2026

The International Seminar on Mathematics in Industry 2026 (ISMI2026) is a conference aimed at fostering collaboration and synergy within the Quadruple Helix model, bringing together academia, government agencies, industry, and the community. The seminar is dedicated to the dissemination of knowledge and the exchange of experiences and research findings across all areas of industrial mathematics and statistics.

Since its inaugural edition in 2013, ISMI has evolved into a multidisciplinary platform that facilitates dialogue between mathematical scientists and industry practitioners. It serves as a forum to explore emerging trends, innovations, and real-world challenges in industrial applications. Building on the success of previous editions (ISMI2013, ISMI2017, ISMI-ICTAS2018, ISMI2021, and ISMI2024) the seminar has significantly strengthened the relationship between the mathematical sciences community and industry partners in Malaysia through impactful collaborative projects.

ISMI2026 is scheduled to take place on 2-3 September 2026 with the theme:
“Mathematical Foundations of AI Powering Tomorrow’s Industry”.

ISMI2026 is proudly organized by UTM Centre for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (UTM-CIAM)  and hosted by Department of Mathematical Sciences, Faculty of Science, UTM.

We look forward to seeing you at ISMI2026!
