Enduring my undergraduate studies at UTM specifically in the Bioscience Department, gave unforgettable memories in my life. The learning curve in UTM as an undergraduate student was fun and simultaneously got me equipped with not only applicable theoretical knowledge but practical skills as well via value added training courses organised by the department and faculty. Besides, learning in UTM has granted me fabulous opportunities to connect, volunteer and serve the local communities as well as going abroad as a member of symbiosis and 5 Excellence track Programme candidate. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all the lecturers, facilitators, laboratory technician for their continuous efforts in preparing a conducive environment for all of us. Conclusively, with all these fantastic experiences, it has moulded me to be someone that is ready to contribute back to our homeland, Malaysia.

I can only use the term “amazing” to sum up my time at the Department of Biosciences, Faculty of Science, UTM. Our learning and knowledge-enrichment opportunities at the UTM were excellent. The Department of Biosciences has worked very hard to assist us in developing the theoretical, practical, and technical skills that are helpful in conducting research. My education was enjoyable in every manner, and the knowledge and skills I gained in the classroom helped to position me for success after graduation. I am appreciative of the Department of Biosciences and UTM for continuously boosting my self-confidence and improving my resilience, and capacity to succeed in a wonderful environment with the assistance of qualified lecturers.

Looking back on my experience at Department of Bioscience, UTM, I find myself reminiscing on many fond and positive experiences. I graduated from UTM in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. My time at UTM was a transformative experience that set the foundation for my personal and professional growth.
The curriculum was straightforward and the lecturers were always willing to help and I never felt like another number to my lecturers. Classes at UTM provided me with a wide variety of skills and the rigorous academic curriculum challenged me to think critically, and the faculty members in the Bioscience department provided invaluable support and mentorship. The hands-on laboratory experience and research opportunities prepared me well to be instrumental in my career success.
UTM, has been pivotal in setting me on a journey of transformation; a transformation that has rewired my ability perform analysis and research and most importantly equipping me with skills to solve problems by applying my knowledge practically by dovetailing innovation into creativity.
Overall, my experience at the Department of Biosciences and UTM has made an impact on my life both professionally and personally, I often look back with fondness at the work and the friendships I made during my time at UTM.
