The Faculty of Science at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia places a strong emphasis on fundamental research as a foundation for scientific advancement, simultaneously driving innovative initiatives that have tangible benefits for local and global communities. Our faculty maintains a robust core in scientific discovery, supported by four specialized departments—Physics, Chemistry, Biosciences, and Mathematical Sciences—that work collaboratively. These departments aim to address complex global challenges such as climate change, health issues, and technological development by fostering interdisciplinary research, developing practical solutions, and promoting scientific excellence.
