The Department of Biosciences, Faculty of Science welcomed Prof Neil Bruce and Dr Deborah Rathbone from University of York, United Kingdom to UTM. In line with the visit, a workshop was held on the 24th of February 2020 at T02, which was led by Dr Chong Chun Shiong (Department of Biosciences, Faculty of Science, UTM) and Prof Neil Bruce (Univ. of York). The main aim of this workshop was to discuss the future research collaboration between both institutions, involving the utilisation of agricultural residues for generation of value product. The participants of the workshop included representatives from University of York, Biorenewable Development Centre, York and members of the Department of Biosciences, Faculty of Science, UTM.
