Dr. Kian Mau Goh, Associate Professor at UTM, earned his Ph.D. in Chemical-Bioprocess Engineering (specializing in Protein Engineering). Currently, he is the program coordinator of a Bioscience PhD program at Faculty. He has authored over 70 publications in indexed journals. In addition to being an active author, he is also a prolific journal reviewer and serves as a senior editor of Scientific Reports. He is also an associate editor of Frontiers in Microbiology’s Microbiotechnology section. He has also served as a guest editor for several other journals. The research team of Goh focuses on extremophiles, primarily thermophiles and halophiles. His research interests include Protein Engineering, Enzymology, Metataxonomics and Metagenomics, Metagenome-Assembled Genomes, as well as Microbiology Comparative Genomics and Transcriptomics.
