Ts. Dr. Naji Arafat Mahat obtained his Ph.D. in Forensic Biology from Universiti Sains Malaysia. He is a fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Science (United Kingdom), a member for the National Technical Committee on Forensic Sciences, Standard Development Agency, Malaysia and a consultant for Ministry of Health Malaysia (biostatistics and health research). He chairs the Industrial Training, external linkages and alumni committee of the Department. of Chemistry, and a mentor for the faculty’s SUNSHINE++, nurturing research excellence in young academic staff. He sits as an editor for of several international journals, including PLOS ONE. His research encompasses forensic sciences, forensic biology, forensic entomology, biomedical sciences, biotechnology.
