Associate Professor Dr. Normah Maan obtained her Ph.D. in Mathematics at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. She is the Research Group Leader for the Dynamical System Modelling Research Group at the Faculty of Science and also a mentor at the faculty’s SUNSHINE++ program, which nurtures research excellence in young academic staff. She is appointed as a Guest Editor for the Special Issue of Mathematics Journal -MDPI Editor.
Her research encompasses three main areas of Mathematical Modelling, which are Mathematical Modelling of Diseases and Environmental Problems with Optimal Control Strategy(such as Tumour-Immune Interaction, Breast Cancer, Dengue, and Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs)), Delay Differential Equations(DDEs) and Fuzzy Modelling.
