The Publication Workshop entitled Scientific Writing Workshop: Journal Publishing, organized by the Department of Physics, in collaboration with Research Year@FS 2024, was successfully held on April 23, 2024, at UTM HELIxS, Faculty of Science. The workshop commenced with a presentation by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abd Rashid Mohd Yusoff on the tips, do’s and don’ts of getting published in indexed journals, providing valuable tips and insights to the 25 participants comprising Academic Staff, Master’s and PhD students from the Department of Physics.
Then the workshop continued with mentoring session including the evaluation and review of the participants’ manuscripts, facilitated by four experts from four panel, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abd Khamim Ismail, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Raja Kamarulzaman, Dr. Izyan Haswani Hashim, and Prof. Dr. Sib Krishna Ghoshal. The objective was to provide tips, feedback and guidance to the participant on how to improve their manuscripts before submitted to the respected journal.
