A huge CONGRATULATIONS to the Winners of Chemfest: Climate and Earth Science event, jointly organized by the American Chemical Society (ACS) Malaysia Chapter, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Johor State Education Department.
This program is one of the three programs under the American Chemical Society (ACS) Malaysia Chapter which was awarded the 2020 Festival Grant by the American Chemical Society. Phase 1 of the program was held online on the 17th of October 2020 and saw the participation of 62 teachers from schools all over Malaysia.
The 2nd phase of the program was then held from the 1st of November to the 10th of December 2020. In this phase, the teachers were asked to carry out 2 interactive activities out of 4 modules given, which have to be implemented together with their students. They were given the options of carrying these activities out via online platforms or face to face, according to the creativity of the participants and facilities, as well as current regulations in their respective places. And our five finalists definitely wowed us with the way these activities were executed.
