Associate Prof Dr Alina Wagiran obtained her Phd in Biochemistry at National University of Malaysia. Currently, she is the Director of Bioscience Department which spearhead the undergraduate and postgraduate Programs sustainability, student development and graduate employability. She is a mentor to young academicians at department level to nurture their teaching and research excellences. She also has experiences as reviewer articles in international levels for plant biotechnology area. Her research involved in plant tissue culture, genetic transformation and DNA barcoding approach for herbal product authentication. She also involves in urban farming activities in community and society of Iskandar Puteri City Council.
