On 27 August 2024, the Workshop on Bibliometric Analysis for Review Articles took place at UTM HeliXs, Faculty of Science. The FS Research Year 2024 committees and the Postgraduate Student Society Faculty of Science (PGSS FS) express their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Jasnizat bin Saidin from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu for his invaluable contribution as our speaker. Despite his busy schedule, Dr. Jasnizat generously shared his expertise with us, and we are deeply grateful for his time.
The workshop began with a warm welcome from Dr. Siti Pauliena Mohd Bohari, who introduced the session’s objectives. We started with an in-depth exploration of bibliometrics and scientometrics, which are essential for understanding research impact and trends. This theoretical foundation was followed by hands-on training with CiteSpace software, allowing participants to apply their knowledge to their own research projects. The practical exercises emphasized the importance of bibliometric analysis in mapping research trends and identifying influential works within a field. The energy and enthusiasm in the room were truly inspiring!
