Sharda University in India and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) have signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) to enhance academic cooperation. The agreement focuses on joint research, student and faculty exchanges, visiting professorships, and sharing academic resources. Both institutions aim to address global challenges in energy efficiency, environmental sustainability, and advanced material technologies.

The signing took place during the 5th International Conference on Science and Engineering of Materials (ICSEM-2025) at Sharda University from January 4th to 7th, 2025. The conference featured speakers like Prof. S.K. Banerjee, Dean of the School of Basic and Applied Sciences at Sharda University, and Prof. Sibaram Khara, Vice-Chancellor of Sharda University. Delegates from 12 Malaysian universities, representatives from 15 Indian states, and international participants attended. The conference covered topics such as sustainable materials, polymer electrolytes, nanotechnology, and advanced energy solutions. A researcher from UTM’s Faculty of Science was among the invited speakers.
