The Applied Algebra and Analysis Research Group (AAAG) successfully conducted the AAAG International Algebra Seminar 2024 (AIAS 2024) on 25th June 2024 at the Faculty of Science, UTM Johor Bahru, Johor.
This one-day seminar was co-organised with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UiTM), Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), and Universitas Mataram (Unram), Indonesia. AIAS 2024 aimed to provide a platform for students and lecturers to share their latest knowledge and expand their research networks.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zarina Mohd Khalid, Director of the Department of Mathematical Sciences, Faculty of Science, UTM Johor Bahru, officiated the seminar. A total of 34 participants (22 presenters) from UTM and UiTM, Malaysia, and ITS, Unram, and Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Indonesia, presented their recent research on algebra.

Congratulations to the best presenter award recipients. It is hoped that this seminar can be held annually with more participants from other universities in Malaysia and Indonesia. The exposure to a wide range of algebraic research is expected to help students expand their research networks and encourage greater collaborations between universities.
