Associate Professor ChM. Dr. Shajarahtunnur binti Jamil received her doctorate in the field of Natural Products Chemistry from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in 2006. She is a Life Member of Malaysian Natural Products Society (MNPS), a member of Malaysian Institute of Chemistry (Institut Kimia Malaysia) and also a member of the American Chemical Society (ACS). Currently, she is the Head of Organic Chemistry Panel in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, UTM. She is a Mentor for young academic staffs in Learning & Teaching and also plays her role as Mentor in the faculty’s SUNSHINE++ program. Her research interests include isolation of biologically active phytochemicals, elucidation of macromolecules using spectroscopic techniques (1D- and 2D-NMR, HRMS) and in silico studies of natural products especially flavonoids.
