Associate Professor Dr. Abd Khamim Ismail obtained his Ph.D. in Physics (MEMS Sensor) at Newcastle University, UK. He is the Director for the Department of Physics, which oversees postgraduate research programs, undergraduate program, staff and student research instrument training at the department and faculty level. He is a mentor at the faculty’s SUNSHINE++ program, which nurtures research excellence in young academic staff. He is a journal reviewer of several international journals, including Applied Surface Science, Biomedical Signal Processing & Control and Measurement Science. His research encompasses Nano-structured Materials, Sensors, Instrumentation and Measurement and Microelectromechanical System (MEMS).
