Researcher Profile Dr. Hasmerya Maarof

Dr. Hasmerya Maarof obtained her Ph.D. in Chemistry, specializing in Computational Chemistry at Cardiff University, United Kingdom. She is the current Lab Manager for Pusat Perkhidmatan Analisis (PPA), an accredited ISO 17025 laboratory in the Faculty of Science, UTM. She manages the service lab that offers consultation for chemical testing ranging from material and elemental analysis of various samples such as seafood, food, water, etc. Other than that, she is the faculty coordinator for the Undergraduate Research Program (UGRP). The program gives exposure to undergraduate students doing research and being part of the research environment and activities. Her research mainly focuses on computational chemistry on solid-state materials and non-destructive chemometrics analysis for forensic science.
