Dr Muhammad Firdaus Omar obtained his Ph.D. in Science (Physics) at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia). He is the head of the Scientific Computing and Instrumentation (SCnI) Research Group and Material Characterization Laboratory at the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science. He has been appointed as an Application Consultant for Rigaku X-ray measurement techniques by RGS Corporation. His research interest includes semiconductor, thin film, nanomaterial, X-ray characterization techniques, electron microscopy and instrumentation.
