The Publication Workshop entitled Let’s Get Your Research Published, organized by the Department of Mathematical Sciences, in collaboration with Research Month@FS 2023, was successfully held on March 7, 2023, at Activity Room (Briefing session), Meeting Room and Computer Lab 3 (Discussion and coaching session), Department of Mathematical Sciences, Faculty of Science. The workshop commenced with a briefing session by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nor Muhainiah (Workshop Director) on the program’s agenda to the 12 participants who were all academic staff members from the Department of Mathematical Sciences.
Then the workshop continued with mentoring session including the evaluation, discussion and review of the participants’ manuscripts, facilitated by three experts from Department of Mathematical Sciences, which are Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nor Muhainiah Mohd Ali, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sharidan Shafie, & Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yeak Su Hoe. The main objective of this session was to provide tips, feedback and guidance to the participant on how to improve their manuscripts before submitted to the respected journal. This workshop will continue with the ongoing progress checks scheduled every three months to ensure that the manuscripts are accepted for publication in reputable journals this year.
Besides, next session will be held on March 13, 2023 involving another 4 participants from Statistic Panel of the Department of Mathematical Sciences, fasilitate by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hisyam Lee.
