The Publication Workshop entitled Scientific Writing Workshop: Journal Publishing, organized by the Department of Physics, in collaboration with Research Month@FS 2023, was successfully held on March 7, 2023, at Meeting Room Department of Physics, Faculty of Science. The workshop commenced with a presentation by Prof. Dr. Suhairul Hashim on the tips, do’s and don’ts of getting published in indexed journals, providing valuable tips and insights to the 19 participants comprising Academic Staff, Master’s and PhD students from the Department of Physics.
Then the workshop continued with mentoring session including the evaluation and review of the participants’ manuscripts, facilitated by four experts from four panel in Department of Physics, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Amiruddin Shaari, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Raja Kamarulzaman, Dr. Mohamad Syazwan Mohd Sanusi , and Dr. Alireza Samavati. The objective was to provide tips, feedback and guidance to the participant on how to improve their manuscripts before submitted to the respected journal. This workshop will continue with the ongoing progress checks scheduled every three months to ensure that the manuscripts are accepted for publication in reputable journals this year.
