The Publication Workshop, organized by the Department of Chemistry, in collaboration with Research Month@FS 2023, was successfully held on March 5, 2023, at UTMHelix, Faculty of Science. The workshop commenced with a presentation by Assoc. Prof. ChM. Dr. Roswanira Abdul Wahab and Ts. Dr. Naji Arafat Haji Mahat on the art of getting published in indexed journals, providing valuable tips and insights to the 20 participants comprising Master’s and PhD students from the Department of Chemistry.
In the afternoon session, the workshop continued with an evaluation and review of the participants’ manuscripts, facilitated by four experts, including Assoc. Prof. ChM. Dr. Lee Siew Ling, Assoc. Prof. ChM. Dr. See Hong Heng, and the two speakers. The objective was to provide feedback and guidance to the students on how to improve their articles, with ongoing progress checks scheduled every three months to ensure that the manuscripts are accepted for publication in reputable journals this year.
